Public record report

Hayward Active Transportation Plan

Hayward Active Transportation Plan Project Overview The City of Hayward is creating an Active Transportation Plan (ATP) to make it safer and easier for people to walk, bike, and roll. This serves people with mobility handicaps, students and youth, those interested in improving their health or the environment, transit riders, individuals shopping in our commercial areas, families and pet owners, low-income employees, and others. Some of our community needs to walk or roll every day, and some choose to less frequently, but improving safety and mobility options for all Hayward community members is a priority. The plan will guide City investment, support grant applications, and help deliver improvements in Hayward. The project will build on past efforts including the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (2020) . It will also work in coordination with other concurrent projects including Vision
